OLLI-UA (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Arizona) is a non-credit lifelong learning program open to all adults over the age of 50.
OLLI-UA is an Affiliate of the University of Arizona through the office of Continuing and Professional Education. We are membership driven, serving Greater Tucson and Southern Arizona.
We offer classes during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Most of our classes (also known as Study Groups) are created and led by our own members. And OLLI-UA isn't just about learning--we are a community that has social events and volunteering opportunities to enrich all of our lives.
See why over 1,000 people each year in Southern Arizona invest their time and engage their minds with OLLI-UA!

OLLI-UA is a community of intellectually active mature adults. Membership entails mutual respect among members, study group leaders, and staff as they pursue knowledge and explore individual interests. Failure to treat ideas, viewpoints, the classroom environment, and interests of other members of the community with respect and civility compromises the intellectual climate at OLLI-UA, and cannot be tolerated. The OLLI-UA staff and volunteer leadership are responsible for ensuring that the Code of Conduct is being followed in all OLLI-sponsored programs.
This OLLI-UA Code of Conduct is congruent with that for students at University of Arizona (deanofstudents.arizona.edu/policies-codes) in promoting behavior that enables enlightened discourse among individuals.
Purpose: To ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance with federal, state, and local taxation laws for the nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
Purpose: To ensure continued growth of OLLI-UA and connect with communities reflective of the population of Southern Arizona.
Purpose: To ensure income through member donors, community giving, and corporate gifts.
Purpose: To strengthen the offerings throughout OLLI-UA, by meeting regularly to promote sharing of best practices and troubleshooting challenges.
Each OLLI-UA Campus has an elected Campus Council of local members to manage the operations of the campus and address immediate campus concerns in line with Board Bylaws and Policies. All Campus Councils have officers and most have additional committee chairpersons to manage specific operations (i.e. curriculum, social, marketing). Any member may run for his/her Campus Council during the annual elections held in March.
